For example we recently approved the purchase of a Toyota Tacoma.
Assembled in Texas ,Tires Made in Oklahoma,Battery Made in USA.
In the past we even approved the purchase of a Prius almost 100% Made in Japan.
At the time there was no US competition that could achieve 45mpg.
The imported oil saved was enough for committee approval.
Of course now there is the Chevy VOLT...but still a little pricey.
